Truth Fighter

Never going to get me down,
never going to hold me back.
I hear your insults
your sarcasm fill the air
it's more of a joke than anything.

Strip away all the negativity
the truth comes out
never need to be covered in
layers of masks where the
true self never comes out.

While you hide behind your
tough exterior inflated in your
air balloon its about to pop
with your ignorance.

If you dig down deep maybe
you can face yourself instead
and find the truth out about you.

There is nothing true about you
looking always to make others
weak on their knees
instilling fear in their minds
trying to take control hoping
they submit to your ways.

Control, I take away your power,
I'm just a little bit stronger and wiser
I've always been a fighter.

Not afraid to put on my boxing gloves
if you want to go around and around
about your politically correct views.
My skin is so much thicker.

Intimidation will only intimidate
me to fight harder to never allow
your hatred to take over.

You come towards me thinking
you got power only to discover
I know you're ignorant as ever.

Underestimating you think you
have your politically correct
views covered, think you
need to holler a little bit louder
Your sarcasm can't be any harder
I know you just want to be cooler.

I stand my ground never backing
down because you make me think
I must be so much smarter to be
wiser stripping away all those
negative messages avoiding
the facade of being a liar.

Staying true to what I believe
never have a reason to deceive others,
deception blocks your view
as you never want to see the truth
behind the hatred in your eyes.

No I won't join you,
I rather be a truth fighter.
